For around ,000, you can now own a compact car. Decide how much you are willing to spend on a car. Also, try to think of the features that you would like your vehicle to have. Consider safety, performance, value, handling, comfort, reliability, dealer service, looks, interior room, mileage, and sources of parts.

Try to do your own research and find out the makes and models of compact cars. And start to choose among them. List down those that catch your fancy. Compare and contrast each of their features and capabilities. You can also search on the internet and read reviews about them.

If you are worried about safety, try checking the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) vehicle ratings. Their website could be found at http://www.hwysafety.org. Visit the site and see your considered vehicles’ statistics when it comes to providing safety. You can also ask around and talk to friends who own such cars so you can know details about them from first-hand experience.

Visit car dealers. Ask them to allow you to test ride a couple of cars on your list. That way, you can focus on feeling the performance and the comfort that you chosen car could provide you. But do not commit yet. Inform them that you are still considering which one to buy.

Compare information and find which one suits your preferences best.

You can also shop for discount parts and accessories from Same Day Car Parts. They have in stock a large array of auto parts like Mazda parts.

Are you looking for that kind of vehicle which you might just be very proud of? Are you looking for that kind of vehicle which people could really recognize with just a simple look at it?

Sure, you may not be able to use your favorite Volkswagen auto parts for this one. After all, it is the Hummer that CNN has been working for its various duties.

CNN would be selling its Hummer for charity’s sake. This would be done at the No Reserve as part of the 36th Annual Barrett Jackson Collector Car Event. If you are interested, this event would be happening on the 13th of January up until the 21st of the same month.

The CNN Hummer has gone through various reports and through different areas. It has gone through the war in Iraq and has gone through the “Overhaulin’ ” stuff with Chip Foose and the rest of his crew as part of the Learning Channel. And did you know that this Hummer from CNN has got a name of its own? Yes, it has been lovingly dubbed as the Warrior One and it is a custom sport utility vehicle.

As the president of the Barrett Jackson Auction Company, Craig Jackson reflects, “The CNN Hummer will be one of the most history, inspiring vehicles to ever cross the block at a Barrett Jackson auction. This machine served with America’s brave soldiers in Iraq, and now it will help fund an amazing organization that supports the families of wounded soldiers. The future owner of this Hummer will capture a commemorative gem to add to their automotive collection.”

Before the war in Iraq, officials from CNN bought this Hummer in Kuwait. Then, the Hummer was later on used in various scoops and reports in different parts of the world. Correspondents, photojournalists, and producers from the station used Warrior One to do their reports and go from one place to another while being part of American soldiers’ vehicles. However, it was not only used as a means of transportation. The Hummer also served as living quarters and even as a storage for the crew of CNN.

Material Girl’s BMW 7-Series for sale at Auto Trader   by Hailey Kerr

Are you a big fan of Madonna? If you are, then this is your chance to have one of her cars. The original Material Girl Madonna is currently putting her BMW 7-Series on sale at Auto Trader.

Madonna is the only owner of this 2002 BMW 745 Li, loaded with a range of luxury features and quality auto components just like the BMW 320 parts which is not really surprising, first of all because it’s a BMW and second it’s owned by the Queen of Pop who wants nothing more but the best.

Anyway, Madonna’s 2002 BMW 745 Li is powered by a 4.4 liter V8 and produces 333bhp and 332 lb-ft of pulling power. It can also sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100kph) in a matter of 6.3 seconds before running out of puff at an electronically limited 155 mph.

Inside the 2.5 ton monster which cost ,000 when brand new is a fitted sat-nav, TV, air conditioning, Nappa leather seats and all-round electrics.

Madonna’s BMW sits on 19-inch alloys and features anti-lock brakes, traction control, and six airbags. Madonna is one of the world’s biggest female artists with a massive chart success over the past 20 years.

Madonna has also recently headlined the Live Earth gig at the Wembley stadium which is an event organized by the former US presidential candidate Al Gore with the objective of highlighting climate change.

Unfortunately, Madonna’s BMW is not the greenest vehicle on earth. Its large V8 engine has a combined fuel economy of 24.4 mpg and emits 280g/kmof carbon dioxide requiring it an annual tax bill of £300 per year.

The Material Girl’s BMW is not the first car featured on Auto Trader belonging to a musical royalty. For the past six months or so cars owned by Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Pete Townshend, and Frank Sinatra have all appeared on Auto Trader.

Even Madonna’ husband, film director Guy Ritchie’s BMW M5 is on the site.

Guy Ritchie who married Madonna the Queen of Pop in 2000 was the first owner of the 2001 M5 before finally passing it on to another member of the UK film industry last August 2003.

Ritchie’s BMW M5 is powered by a 5-liter V8 engine that revs up 400 bhp. The M5 can sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in a matter of 4.9 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

Ritchie’s five-door M5 enters the supercar territory dominated by Porsche 911 and Ferrari F430 with a top speed of 186 mph. Inside the M5 is a sat-nav, TV, climate control, heated seats, and a six-CD sound system. Its other features include ABS, traction control, rear parking sensors, and a six-speed manual gearbox.

It has covered just 36,000 miles. The M5′s black motor boasts of full BMW service history.

When selling your own car, there are several different methods that will help your vehicle a new owner. The first thing is to find out the Galves.com value of your vehicle. You can look this up online and choose the Private Party Value. You’ll get a pretty good idea of what you can get for the car.

The first thing is to find out the Galves.com value of your vehicle. You can look this up online and choose Selling A Used Car section. You’ll get a pretty good idea of what you can get for the car. Someone looking for a used car will probably know how to do this too, so don’t expect to get ,000 for that 1996 Chevy Cavalier.

The next thing you need to do is to make the car presentable for purchase. You must clean the car from the inside to the outside. That means taking it to the car wash and washing the engine too. When the customer opens the hood, they’ll be pretty impressed with a clean engine. While cleaning under the hood, be sure to change all fluids and flush the transmission. Change the air and oil filters too, and replace any worn belts. Fill the window washer container and clean off the battery terminals. Vacuum it out and replace any worn floor mats.

Before spending money on a classified ad, try word-of-mouth first. Put the word out at work that you’re selling your car. One of the best times to sell a car is just before high school graduation. Parents are looking to get decent cars for kids because they don’t want to be hassled carting them around all summer. You can even use social networking sites to put the word out on your own personal page. There are also sites like Craigslist that will let you list the car for free. Both methods of selling require great pictures that offer extensive detail of the whole car in and out.

Most important: Be honest. Don’t make the car sound better than it actually is. And by all means, don’t sell a car that won’t pass inspections or is dangerous to drive. If it’s a hunk of junk, pay someone to take it to the junkyard.

Classic car for sale wanted Restoring interiors and trading in classic vintage and veteran cars   by classics

In 1914 Les Kelley, the son of a preacher from Arkansas, made his way to California at the age of 17. He had no money or job, but he owned an old car which was in fine shape because he was a handy mechanic and had overhauled it himself.

His friends admired his car because it was so well looked after and offered to buy it.

He eventually sold it to one of them. Les Kelley then began to buy, repair and resell cars. The money which he made by trading used cars paid his way through college.

Kelley Car Company – Los Angeles – 1918.

Then in 1918, he parked three Model T Fords in an open lot, and started the Kelley Car Company which was to become the largest dealership in the world. As trading continued he found a need to maintain a list of the current values. This list of updated used car values eventually became known as the “blue book”.

In the early 1920s, to help acquire new inventory, Les Kelley distributed to other dealers and to banks a list of automobiles he wished to buy and the prices he was willing to pay for them. Then in 1926 Les Kelley decided to expand his list of automobile values/prices which he had been producing since 1918, mainly because the automotive community began to trust his judgement to produce an accurate reflection of current values.

When a customer asked a dealer what his used car might be worth, the dealer usually referred to Les Kelley’s list. As the demand for his list by dealers increased Les Kelley realized that he could provide an ongoing service to both dealers and bankers. The Classic Car Blue Book – Les Kelley – Kelley Blue BookOnce the list was expanded he named it the “Blue Book” after the Social Register, because it meant that you would find valuable information inside it.

The Blue Book provided a factory list price and the cash value of thousands of vehicles from Cadillacs to Duesenbergs. As time went by and Les Kelley’s Blue Book became well known it was the norm for car buyers and sellers to refer to this book for information.

Buyers and sellers were looking for some form of standard price reference and the Blue Book filled this void very well. The classic car blue book provides independent guidance for enthusiasts who are either in the buying or selling market.

Many classic car owners had no idea about where they could find the current value of their cars. As a result of this uncertainty many cars are sold well below their current market values. This results in a bargain for the buyer, and an unknown loss for the seller. These cases would be isolated, but if you are lucky enough to find a classic being sold for well below it’s current market value, it’s your lucky day.

Basically the term classic car blue book has grown from the original Blue book of car values and highlights the original methods of searching for different types of car prices and values in the Kelley Blue Book.Classic car owners and others looking for the current price values for their cars use internet search terms as “classic car blue book” and “Classic car blue book value”.Today the Kelley Blue Book offers a wide range of publications for the automotive industry. From classic early models and late model used cars to motorcycles and Rvs. Kelley Blue Book is the number 1 source for the most comprehensive automotive value information.

The current “Blue Book” can be bought for around .95.It provides retail, private party and trade-in values for used cars, trucks, and vans covering the last 15 years. There are further details available at <http://www.classic-car-restorer-and-trader.com/blue-book.html>

Jeep has been manufacturing the Jeep Cherokee in some form or another since 1974, and that translates into many options for the consumer shopping for a Jeep Cherokee for sale. It all started with the Jeep Cherokee (SJ) in 1974, which Jeep then replaced with the XJ in 1984, and manufactured until 2001. Jeep replaced that with the Jeep Liberty, also known as the Jeep Cherokee (KJ). In addition to these Cherokees, Jeep began manufacturing the Grand Cherokees in 1993.

Jeep Cherokee (SJ) 1974-1983

Similar to the famed Wagoneer that Brooks Stevens designed in 1963, the SJ, which boasts an iconic visual style, was a moderately popular full-size SUV during the 1970s and early 1980s. Its popularity grew in the years after its discontinuation. They are becoming increasingly difficult to find today, and thus highly sought after by off-road enthusiasts and other types of automotive aficionados.

Jeep Cherokee (XJ) 1984-2001

Although the XJ shared its name with the SJ model that preceded it, they shared very little else in common. The XJ is a unibody compact SUV, and it does not employ the body-on-frame chassis that was a defining element of the SJ models. The XJs are so popular that it is common to see the late 1990s and later models still used for regular driving. These are highly durable vehicles, and their only real deficiency is a lack of modern safety features.

Jeep Liberty or Jeep Cherokee (KJ/KK) 2002-Present

Called the Jeep Liberty in North America and the Cherokee in other parts of the world, the KJ is the modern incarnation of the XJ. While sticking to its compact, off-road roots, the Chrysler influence has steered the current Jeep Cherokee for sale toward a focus on luxury. The current version costs approximately ,000, and boasts a standard package that includes 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, air-conditioning, full power accessories, automatic headlamps, and a six-speaker CD stereo system with satellite radio.

Jeep Grand Cherokee (ZJ) 1993-1998

Introduced in 1993, the Grand Cherokees were a sport-influenced mid-size UniFrame SUV. The ZJs were available as Base, Laredo, and Limited. These were essentially a sparse standard package, a mid-tier package, and a deluxe premium package, respectively. The 1995 models and beyond include ample safety features, and make for viable options for the modern used car shopper.

Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ) 1999-2004

The Grand Cherokee became amazingly popular, and as we neared the turn of the century, Jeep introduced a style and function update to celebrate it. The theme behind the WJ is power and luxury, and it certainly met those standards for all five years of its production. This is the sweet spot for used car buyers that want to limit cost while achieving maximum feature set and safety level.

Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK) 2005-2010

The WK is a modern refinement of the wildly popular WJ. Unless they have heavy mileage, these vehicles hold their value well, so the car buyer considering one may also want to consider a brand new WK2. The prices are not going to be worlds apart.

Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2) 2011-Present

The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is an elegant refinement of everything we loved about the WJ and the WK. The aspect that separates the WK2 from the WK is the all-new chassis that provides significant improvements to the suspension. The base 2011 Jeep Cherokee for sale is going to cost you about K, and brings with it a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 290 horsepower. The equipment package includes 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone air-conditioning, cruise control, keyless ignition, automatic headlights, and a six-speaker CD audio system with satellite radio.

Cheap Old Automobiles For Sale By Owner   by Shannon Taylor

Generally, when young people are done with their schooling, they go hunting for an employer. At the time they get a trade, they will require a means of transportation. Seeing as so many people are tired of public transportation, they will begin thinking of purchasing a car. But without owning any wealth in the bank account, there is usually not an incredibly huge amount of savings available for such a purchase. In this situation, it’s a fine idea to start looking around for a cheap, used car. Used autos will mostly cost less money than a novel one. If only you know what you should look for, you will be able to purchase a good one.

Just because an automobile has been used for years does not always suggest the condition of it is lousy. If a car has been maintained well, it is likely to last for many more years. The trick is that you are going to have to learn to spot which car is good and which auto is low quality. This is above all true if you are planning on purchasing an automobile straight from a car owner. In case you make up your mind to pay a visit to a used car dealership, odds of you purchasing a not so well maintained vehicle are immediately a great deal lower. Part of the auto dealer’s job is to ensure he sells used cars that his buyers are pleased with. When looking around for used cheap cars, there are plenty of choices at your disposal.

At the time you decide that you are going to buy a second hand car directly from a vehicle owner, then it is especially imperative that you have been taught what to watch out for. I propose that you have a test drive in the automobile and that you are mindful of its overall quality. When you start the car, does it start easily? What about the steering wheel, the gear box and the braking mechanism? Do they give a large amount of struggle when you are operating them? If so, then you might think about looking for a car somewhere else. What of the acceleration? A regularly maintained second-hand car should still be able to get going quite quickly.

If whatever thing about the automobile feels like it’s everything but right, then the odds are you will have to have it brought to the garage in a little while. This implies you should demand a lower price. A car owner will always ask a price that is more than what he really is expecting to get for his car. So haggling for better prices is frequently an excellent plan, even if the auto is in good shape.
